Engine 201 is a 1993 Pierce Saber Custom Chasis.  In fact, this Chasis has the distinction of being the first Saber chassis off the line from Pierce Mfg.  The vehicle has seating for six firefighters with four SCBA seats.  A Firecom system in the cab and on the pump panel keeps personnel up to date with latest information from the radio and officer.  It is powered by a Detroit 60 series, 300 HP engine with an Allison transmission.  It has a 1250 GPM Waterous single stage pump with top mount control to allow the engineer full 360 degree visibility of the foreground.  It carries 1000 gallons of water along with a 10" Newton Dump valve so can serve as a smaller tanker/tender when needed.  In addition to the 35' ladder on the hydraulic ladder rack, it has 150' of pre-connected 1 3/4" line in the front bumper, 2-200' 1 3/4 speedlays, 1000' of large diameter supply line, and 2-500 foot lays of 2 1/2", one pre-connected at 250'
