Mild weather conditions added to this Chimney Fire on February 22nd at 1035 Central.  As temperatures hover in the upper 30's and lower 40's, woodburning stoves are left to smolder, increasing Creosote inside the chimney's.  Firefighters remind those using woodburners and fireplaces to remember to burn hot, aggressive fires every 5-8 fires to reduce the build-up of creosote in the chimney.  Using commercially available creosote reducing logs also helps.  Minimal damage was done by this fire.
